DIPLOMA IN CHILDREN’S SERVICES

ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN CHILDREN SERVICE

I have been in child care for approx. 25 years.  I have worked at lots of centres throughout my career but believe that you can always learn something from someone else.

I love the challenge that each individual child gives you and the love and trust that they have in you. I love being there for them while their families are off working, and watching each individual child develop in to their own personalities.

Watching the children grow and mature / play / learn etc- watching them develop as individuals and independent people, knowing that I had a small part of their learning and development is very rewarding and is what has kept me in the industry for so long.

I am passionate about being there for all the children in my care and their families. To grow and work together and to bring the best out of each child is important to me.

BACHELOR OF EARLY LEARNING

I have been working with children from 6 weeks to 6 years since 2008. I started as an assistant in the babies room then moved between different age groups. In 2012, I finally decided to study my diploma in children’s services. During this course, my passion for working with children grew stronger and I was eager to learn more. When I came close to finishing my diploma, I enrolled into the bachelor of early learning studying with a fellow colleague. This was a challenging and emotional rollercoaster as I learnt to juggle full time work whilst studying full time and care for my 2 young girls. I am so glad and grateful to have finished this course with the undying love and support of family, friends and colleagues continually reminding me why I am studying.

I love working with children as I enjoy watching children grow and learn everyday through play. Knowing I have supported and guided them to become confident, eager and curious learners is something I feel proud to be apart of. Also working with other educators, families, children and the community helps me grow as a teacher. Everyday is an adventure and everyday we learn together.

I am passionate about working with children as I enjoy guiding and supporting them to enjoy life. The smiles, the laughter and the conversations children have with one another demonstrates how well we have worked together giving each child the very best start to life and education.
